Beauty beyond symmetry
We went with an asymmetrical approach to this shelving unit, using solid Walnut timber for the shelves and gables, connected using notched joinery, and contrasted with white lacquered cabinets. Differing widths and heights were used for each shelf and cabinet to really give this project a unique personality.
The layout accommodates a large widescreen television, with space in the cabinets below for stereo components. The upper cabinets and shelves provide ample space for storage, and display of unique pieces. The exclusive nature of each part in this piece creates an interesting balancing act.
