Contrasting elements

This gorgeous collection begins with floating cabinets to replace a five foot wall at this Ottawa home’s entrance. The three top and bottom cabinets provide convenient entryway storage, while the middle cabinets act as a cosmetic back for a television niche on the living room side. Hollow steel columns securely float the cabinets and channel wiring to the unit.

We contrasted the white walls and cabinetry with a 17 foot shiplap wall, made of lacquered MDF strips. The transition from the living room was made with a stylish mahogany nook in the wall end to complement the kitchen’s mahogany elements.
